Creation of a gate and wicket door

The first stage of this project involves designing the gate and side gate to suit the architectural style of the house, the owner’s aesthetic preferences and the environmental conditions. The materials – whether wrought iron, aluminium, wood or PVC – must be chosen with due regard to their durability, weather resistance and maintenance requirements.

Once the design has been finalised, the production phase can begin. For a wrought-iron gate, for example, the metalworker’s craft will come to life. Every detail and every ornament will be crafted with precision to achieve a result that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. If a matching side gate is chosen, it will undergo the same creative process.

Next comes the installation stage. Fitting a gate and a side gate requires technical expertise. The support posts must be firmly anchored in the ground to ensure the structure’s stability. Precise measurements are crucial to ensure smooth opening and closing. Perfect alignment and secure fixing are essential to avoid any long-term problems.

Finally, aesthetics should not be overlooked. The paintwork or finish of the main gate and side gate helps to create visual harmony with the rest of the property. Details such as handles, latches and finishing touches add the final flourish to the overall look.
